Join us on St Matts Green from 5-6:30pm for a family festival with food, games, market stalls, jumping castle and more!
Then at 6:45-8pm, come inside for Carols by Candlelight to sing along to your favourite carols and hear the Christmas story.

The family festival is a bunch of fun activities outside on the Green, which are great for kids (and those young-at-heart). Mini-games like knock-em-downs, face painting, crafts, jumping castle, music and entertainment, and Christmas gift stalls. There will also be a food trucks to buy food plus a free sausage sizzle so bring a picnic blanket and enjoy some dinner with us!
Please note: children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Our Carols service will include singing along to some of your favourite Christmas carols, and telling the story of Christmas. The lyrics to the carols will be shown on the screen if you’d like to sing along, but there is no pressure if you would prefer not to sing. It will all be kid-friendly, and great for the whole family!

No! You can come along for free, but there will be food available for purchase if you would like. You can also buy Christmas gifts from our market stalls.

The market stalls will sell small gifts, jewellery and accessories, which are all Fair Trade and support freeing women from trafficking. To find out more, head to the websites of our market stalls:

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. There will be food available to buy from food trucks, and a free sausage sizzle. The food trucks and barbeque will be available during the family festival only and will close at 6:30pm.

Our activities will be moved inside to the halls, so the fun will happen whatever the weather!

Yes, there are a small number of spaces available in the church carpark, as well as plenty of street parking. As carpark spaces are limited, please consider leaving the carpark for people with limited mobility.

Yes! St Matts strives to be an accessible church, and all areas of the site are flat or have ramp-access. There is pram parking area in the back foyer of the church, a change table in the creche, and an accessible toilet. There is also a sound loop available for those with hearing aids.
For those with sensory issues, there will be a quiet space available during the carols service in the cottage beside the church.
